Kim Kardashian shares details of North West’s Jerusalem baptism

Kanye West and Kim Kardashian don’t do things in halves, including the baptism of their baby North, which took place last week in Jerusalem.

Staying true to her name, Baby Yeezus got baptised in a beautiful Armenian Cathedral in Jerusalem, with mum, dad and Godmother Khloe Kardashian right by her side.

Speaking to People magazine the self-proclaimed selfie queen Kim said of the ceremony: “It was such a beautiful experience for my family to have North baptised in Jerusalem.”

“Kanye and I are so thankful.”

The hour-long Christian service, performed in English and Armenian took place at St James Cathedral in the Armenian quarter of the holy city.

The publication also revealed little Nori’s forehead was christened with holy water and she was given a cross. Perhaps the occasion was all a bit overwhelming for the mini-fashionista as insiders claimed she fell asleep in her mother’s arm for a large component of the ceremony.

As for choosing Khloe as Godmother, Kim had no shortage of female family members to pick from, but People reports the special bond between the 22-month-old and her Aunt “KoKo” made her the obvious choice.

The youngest of the Kardashian sisters, 30-year-old Khloe’s connection with her niece is clear from the frequent Instagram photos she shares.

The reality television mega-star travelled to Jerusalem for the service with her sister and rapper husband Kanye after visiting her ancestral homeland of Armenia.

Meanwhile Kimye, who will soon be celebrating their first wedding anniversary, have made their battle with conceiving a second child public.
