What a perfect mother-daughter date! Katie Holmes and her 11-year-old daughter, Suri Cruise, spent their Sunday night watching the Oscars together on March 4.
The Dawson’s Creek alum took to Instagram to share a photo of Suri watching the ABC award show.
“Congratulations to all of the nominees and winners!!!!!!!” she captioned the photo. She followed up with a pic herself playfully kissing her little girl on the cheek with a bunch of pink hearts.
In a previous interview, Katie opened up about how important it is to her to be a good mom.
“When I’m not on set, I’m being a mom. I’m doing mom stuff,” the 39-year-old actress once told Modern Luxury. “When I go to an event, I leave at 10 p.m. because it’s really important to me to be a mom that is dependable.”
She added, “I think the most important thing in my life is giving my child the childhood I want her to have. That comes first. That dictates where I work and when I work because it’s my main job right now.”
Katie and her daughter Suri share a very close bond and are often pictured attending events together.
Kate previously welcomed Suri with her ex-husband, Tom Cruise, and now she’s dating actor Jamie Foxx. However, he hasn’t had a chance to get close to her daughter yet.
“They still have their own separate lives and they aren’t trying to join them together,” a source revealed to People. “They aren’t focused on what’s next or what the future holds. They are content simply knowing that they enjoy each other’s company and have a good time together. It isn’t about anything more than that.”

However, Katie has gotten close to Jamie’s two daughters.
“Katie is close with Jamie’s girls,” a source said of the 50-year-old’s daughters, Corinne, 23, and Anelise, 9. “She spends time with them even when Jamie’s not there and they have dinner dates. Both girls get along really well with Katie. She’s been in Anelise’s life since she was really young so they are especially tight.”
Hopefully, Suri gets close to Jamie’s daughters so she has more girls to watch award shows with!
