Karl Stefanovic leads family tributes to his sister on her birthday – and his elegant prose will pull at the heartstrings

The Stefanovic family celebrated an exciting milestone over the weekend, Peter and Karl’s older sister Elisa’s birthday.

To ring in the monumental day, the brothers each headed to Instagram to share their well wishes, but Karl took it upon himself to write a poetic passage that pulled at his fans’ heartstrings.

Alongside a picture of the siblings on his wedding day, the 47-year-old Today Show host turned his caption into an exercise of prose.

“Wherever my path leads, she is there,” he began. “Waiting. Unwavering. May you always carry us with your light and laughter. Happy birthday sister. I love you. @teacism.”

Karl’s wife Jasmine commented on his sweet message, “TC!!! ❤️❤️❤️,” which appears to be a family nickname.

Fans also expressed their love for the Karl’s choice of words with one writing, “What a beautiful speech for your sister I’m touched and it’s not for me ❤️❤️,” and another sharing, “So beautiful what a gorgeous speech for your sister. ❤️😍.”

Peter, meanwhile, posted a picture of him embracing his sister with their hands clasped and smiling at the camera.

Besides the picture, he shared high praise for her by writing, “To the best sister anyone could ever ask for. Happy birthday beautiful @teacism . I love you ❤️.”

Peter’s wife Sylvia Jeffreys also shared a sweet Instagram story for her sister-in-law’s birthday by posting a picture of them at Karl’s 2018 wedding with the caption, “Happy milestone birthday, sissy Tissy @TEAMCISM Love you xx.”

While Australia knows a lot about Karl and Peter, it is perhaps lesser-known that the brothers are actually two of four siblings.

The final Stefanovic is Tom, who gave up his job as a cameraman for a calmer life as an almond farmer with his wife, former fashion publicist Jenna Dinicola.

According to reports, the only sister apart of the clan had the grand job officiating Karl and Jasmine’s Mexico resort wedding.
