Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough exchanged vows in a “commitment ceremony” under a fashionable and stark metal frame overlooking Palm Beach with just 25 of their family and best friends on hand as witnesses.
“It was really small,” reports one neighbour, who spotted the couple and their famous friends and family at the rented mansion in Palm Beach.
“It was a really low-key ceremony,” they add.
They do! Karl Stefanovic has married his shoe designer girlfriend Jasmine Yarbrough.
Jasmine, 34, wore a flowing white maxi-dress with a bold red pattern to formalise her love affair with Karl, 43, who wore tan chinos, a white collared shirt and a blue blazer for the event.
His brother, Peter Stefanovic, the new co-host of Weekend Today, stood side by side with Karl, while Peter’s beautiful wife and Karl’s co-star, Sylvia Jeffreys, acted as wedding photographer.
“She was the only one taking pictures,” confirms the neighbour, who says there was lots of laughter and fun, with some guest jumping in the infinity pool at the palatial home.
“Karl looked on top of the world, and was laughing and having a great time,” our source says.
Jasmine flew her 91-year-old nan and her parents Bob and Cheryl down from Brisbane for the ceremony which was also attended by her sister Jade. On top of Pete and Sylvia, Karl also had his mum, Jenny, his sister Lisa and youngest brother Tom and his wife Jenna there to celebrate.
Karl’s close friend, singer Delta Goodrem was also one of the lucky few to score an invite to the commitment ceremony.
“Karl looked on top of the world, and was laughing and having a great time,” our source says.
“Jasmine looked beautiful, but the whole vibe was very, very casual and low-key.”
Karl’s two youngest children, Ava, 12. and River, 11, with ex-wife Cassandra Thorburn stayed at the Palm Beach house the night before the wedding but did not attend the ceremony.
Even they had no idea their dad was getting hitched until yesterday afternoon when they were told there would be a “commitment ceremony” in a few hours.
Karl’s eldest child with ex-wife Cassandra Throburn, Jackson, 18, was not invited and did not attend.
Just last month Jasmine showed off her $150,000 diamond engagement ring a the David Jones Autumn Winter Collection amid speculation she could already be pregnant with Karl’s child.
Karl and Cass were married for 21 years.
