No one told us life was going to be this way and as the dust settles on Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston's divorce bombshell, devastating new details continue to emerge over their split.
From their tragic final meeting, to the other woman alleged to have "upset" Jen, here's the latest on their break-up...
Like something out of a tear-jerking movie, a source tells People the couple met up just one day before announcing their break-up to the world.
And ironically, it was on Valentine's Day.
"They saw each other late at night on Valentine's Day in L.A.," an insider reveals to the publication.
"They decided together that they would make the announcement the next day. Justin flew on a private jet to L.A. to see Jen one last time."
According to the friend, the pair struggled to agree on when to announce the statement with Jen apparently wanting to keep the matter under wraps for longer.
"Jen didn't want to announce it for as long as possible, because she wanted to avoid the media attention," the insider claims.
Indeed, at the start of the month Jen had posed for Architectural Digest and gushed about her idyllic home life with Justin.
"I look around at my husband and my dogs and our home, and there's nowhere else I want to be," the 49-year-old told the glossy, despite the fact the couple had called time on their two-and-a-half-year marriage at the end of 2017.
Naomi Watts and Justin Theroux have been close friends since starring on Mulholland Drive together in 2011.
In January last year when photos emerged of the cosy co-stars deep in conversation at The Unveiling: Class by Taryn Toomey exhibition in New York, insiders told the National Enquirer Jen was "upset" by the images.
In the snaps Naomi, who split from long-term partner Liev Schreiber in 2016, and Justin can be seen sharing a warm embrace before enjoying a deep conversation over drinks.
It's claimed Justin's "partying lifestyle in New York" was a also contributing factor to their split and he had been living the life of a bachelor for months.
"The reality is he's been partying with all sorts of people in New York and couldn't have looked less like a married man," a friend told The Sun.
"He's even been telling people he's single, while she spends most of her time in LA doing yoga, eating healthily and living a quiet life. He's been pretty much living in New York full time and growing close to other people, so it was only a matter of time."
This is perhaps the craziest detail to emerge in the wake of their divorce.
The expert spies at TMZ claim they've sifted through the Californian marriage records dating all the way back from 2010 and can't find any evidence of their 2015 surprise ceremony at their Bel Air mansion.

Cue the conspiracy theories that the pair never legally wed!
The website points out Jen and Justin could have obtained a marriage licence from another state but say chatter amongst their inner circle reveals they may never have actually technically tied the knot.
While the internet is in meltdown and convinced Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston are getting back together, sources tell US Weekly Brad is keeping his distance out of respect.
"Brad is of course sad to hear the news about Jen's divorce. He only wishes the best for her," an insider says.
"However, Brad hasn't reached out to Jen, and has no plans to do so at this point."
