Jill Duggar’s dangerous mission revealed

Things have gone from bad to worse for Jill and Derick Duggar.

Jill Duggar can’t seem to catch a break.

After escaping the scrutiny that followed her brother, Josh Duggar’s, very public molestation scandal, of which she was a victim, Jill has found herself in the midst of another controversy.

Jill and her husband, Derick, recently posted on their blog that they were undergoing a ‘special’ Christian mission to an undisclosed location for a number of weeks.

The pair, who took their newborn son, Israel, with them, spoke of their passion and dedication to their trip – but didn’t say where they were going.

The Daily Mail, however, solved that for them.

Revealing their location exclusively, The Mail disclosed that the Duggars are staying in a Christian camp with 20–30 other missionaries outside El Salvador.

Writing about their conditions, The Mail reports that El Salvador is plagued by “gang violence, drugs and lawlessness”, where the country’s 677 deaths for the year rivals Iraq’s ISIS-plagued 799.

In their report, The Mail reveals that the nearest town, where Jill and Derick buy baby food and nappies, is so overrun that taxi drivers and tour guides refuse to stop there without a police escort.

“There are no such thing as good and bad places now in El Salvador,’ ‘an expert’ told Daily Mail Online, “The moment you pull out of the airport you’re a potential target.”

“The gangs have lookouts everywhere, everyone from kids on bikes to middle aged shopkeepers and women.”

“You can let them see who you are and hope they don’t decide to rob you. Or you can travel in brand new rental car with tinted windows and risk being mistaken for police and shot at – it’s a case of pick your poison.”

Jill, Derick and Israel are currently staying in “La Esperanza”, a hillside compound where the pair pray, fast, read scripture, and visit remote and poor churches and orphanages to ‘present and share the gospel of Christ’.

The compound is under 24/7 armed guard and costs $300 per week.
