It feels like only yesterday when AFL’s favourite couple, Jesinta and Lance ‘Buddy’ Franklin, wed in an intimate ceremony at Mount Wilson’s Wildenstein Gardens in the Blue Mountains.
Now, the couple who are proud parents to daughter Tullulah, and son Rocky, have rung in their fifth wedding anniversary.
To commemorate their half-decade milestone, Jesinta and Buddy took their brood to one of Sydney’s most glamorous locations – the Crown Towers Hotel.
Tullulah and Buddy are thick as thieves.
(Credit: Instagram)Buddy shared their luxury adventure on his Instagram stories, starting with a picture featuring Tullulah in his arms as they checked in at the gold-covered front desk – and she has grown up so much!
The sportsman captioned the adorable snap, “Anniversary weekend.”
He then gave his fans a glimpse into their grand suite, which had been decked out by staff with champagne, sparkling water, fresh fruits, chocolate and a pretty bouquet.
It’s a rare occasion that the famous parents share updates of their children, but Buddy posted the most adorable picture on his story of Rocky crawling on the floor with the Sydney Harbour Bridge in view.

(Credit: Instagram)Once the kids were settled, Buddy took a selfie with his beloved wife while they sipped on bubbles, captioning it, “5 years.”
The couple then took their room celebrations to the famous Nobu kitchen, where they shared a delectable Japanese feast.
“One of our favs,” commented the AFL player over a plate of delicious dessert that featured an edible message “Happy Anniversary.”
The couple almost wasn’t to be when Jesinta initially brushed Buddy off when he asked her out.

Their love story began when Buddy got her number from a mutual friend, and he texted her out of the blue. Unfortunately, he wasn’t too successful at first because Jesinta “wasn’t dating” at the time, according to her retelling of those early days to Australian Rules.
However, in 2017, the former Miss Universe Australia told Beauticate that she now cringes over her initial response to Buddy’s messages.
“I was like, ‘Um, I’m not dating at the moment. I’m dating my career’. Cringe! Oh my God, I can’t believe I said that,” she said.
Despite their awkward start, this couple has had nothing but pure love and support ever since.
