Jennifer Aniston’s road to love

The whole world collectively beamed when it was discovered that Jennifer Aniston, 46 married her long-time fiancé Justin Theroux, 43 in a surprise ceremony, but the actress’ journey to true happiness has been a long one!

It’s no secret that the former Friends actress is a hopeless romantic, she once revealed to Oprah’s O Magazine, “The greater your capacity to love, the greater your capacity to feel the pain,” and boy has she loved!

The whole world was in shock when Jen and Brad Pitt called time on their marriage in 2005, and as her former husband set up home with another woman we watched on and hoped that she would find her happiness again.

And although she finally found The One in Justin Theroux, it took a minute or two to get there.

From Paul Rudd, to Vince Vaugh and Aaron Eckhart, our girl Jen made her way through the who’s who of Hollywood, before she tied the knot for the second time.

Make no mistake though, men do not define her as she told The Rolling Stone, “a relationship isn’t going to make me survive. It’s the cherry on top.”

But we all deserve our happily-ever-after and we are so glad that Jen has finally found hers.

We’ve decided to take a walk down memory lane a look back at Jennifer Aniston’s long road to love.

Just as her star was rising, Jennifer Aniston dated Tate Donovan from 1994 for three years. As luck would have it though, Tate was cast as Jen’s love interest Joshua on Friends right about the time they were breaking up. He told The Huffington Post in 2013 “it was horrible, it was tough!” #awkward.

The year was 1998, socks were knee length and your crimper was always warm. After filming The Object of my Affection Paul Rudd and Jen began a romantic tryst but ended not long after! Paul then joined the cast of Friends in its final season, but this time there were no sign of awkward tension!

After five seemingly perfect years, Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston called time on their marriage and the entire world felt their heartbreaking for Jen.

The pair released a statement revealing that they would remain, “committed and caring friends with great love and admiration for one another,” but we all know how that worked out…

“The world was shocked, and I was shocked,” Jennifer told Vanity Fair after picture of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie on a romantic holiday surfaced.

Vince Vaughn will forever be known as the “rebound”. He and Jen began a relationship after they became close on the set of the 2006 film, fittingly called, The Break Up.

It was brief, but intense! In 2007 Jennifer dated mega hottie, British actor and model Paul Sculfor.

They never confirmed it, but they also never denied it. The rumour mill went into overdrive as Jen and Orlando Bloom were spotted getting very close at their mutual manager’s wedding in 2007.

In 2008, while filming Travelling to Vancouver Jen began a romance with her leading man Aaron Eckhart . A source told Marie Clare at the time: “I think the fact that both of them have been single for a couple of months is contributing to the chemistry they have on this film, even when they aren’t shooting. They genuinely enjoy each other’s company.”

2009 was a big year for John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston, we had a lot of trouble keeping up with their on-again-off-again romance. Despite reports that things soured between the duo the Heartbreak Warfare singer told Playboy, “That woman was the most communicative, sweetest, kindest person.”

After meeting on the set of The Bounty Hunter in 2010, Gerard Butler and Jen began dating for a few month. The Scotsman revealed years later to the Independent that their relationship was fleeting and never the real deal.

After numerous frogs Jennifer has finally found her Prince in screenwriter and actor Justin Theroux, as the pair married in the backyard of their Bel Air mansion surrounded by their loved ones

“He’s one of the most humble, decent human beings,” Jen gushed about her new husband to Harpers Bazaar

She told Marie Clare in 2012, “’He’s a protector, for sure, he’s just a good human being, and so funny.”
