Superstar couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z must be feeling generous, as they’ve reportedly shelled out $4m in staff bonuses!
Eighty staff members employed in their three US homes, on their tours and in Jay’s 40/40 club in New York were rewarded with over $40,000 each.
“He’s spreading the wealth around and everyone is blown away,” a source tells the Daily Star.
Staff were left gobsmacked by the act of generosity. “Nobody got left out. A lot of them couldn’t believe it and phoned his personal assistant to check that there hadn’t been some mistake,” the source continued.
It’s safe to say that the first family of music can spare the pennies. Beyoncé is currently on the road with her Mrs Carter World Tour, which grosses over $2m in every city she plays, while Jay-Z has just scored his 13th No. 1 album with Magna Carter Holy Grail
They both appear on Forbes’ list of most influential celebrities, with Beyoncé at No. 4 and her hubby at No. 32.
