Surprise! Home and Away newlyweds, James Stewart and Sarah Roberts secretly got married before their romantic Irish getaway in July.

The couple, who have been together for two years, exchanged vows in front of family and friends in Sydney first, it seems.

In a series of candid snaps shared on Instagram by Sarah’s makeup artist, Laura Varquez, the happy couple posed for a photograph, and what looked like a stunning Sydney day.

Other photos show Sarah looking absolutely breathtaking in her grandmother’s high-neck silk dress for their reception.

“Before Princess @sarahroberts went to Ireland to get married to her Prince @jamesstewart in a magical castle far away,” Laura captioned the gorgeous post, “They had a Sydney Australia ceremony that I was asked to be a part of ❤️ “

“Loved doing your hair and makeup for this special occasion Sarah and what a beautiful day it was 💕”

Sarah wore a different gown to the ceremony – a beaded Alin Le’Kal design – with James’ seven-year-old daughter, Scout, acting as flower girl.

Last month, the happy couple tied the knot in a stunning surprise ceremony in Ireland at Luttrellstown Castle near Dublin, surrounded by friends and family.

Ahead of her big day, Sarah spoke to TV WEEK about wanting to feel like a princess at her fairytale wedding.

“I’m going to feel like Cinderella on the day, but not necessarily because of the dress,” Sarah, 34, teased. “It could be because of the venue.”

She also revealed the designer behind her wedding dress is Australian Fashion House Alin Le’ Kal – the same team behind her stunning gold frock for the 61st TV WEEK Logie Awards.

Sarah added that while she loved her gorgeous Logies ensemble, it was more difficult for her to choose her wedding gown as she was hoping to remember the occasion for years to come.

“I care more about my wedding dress, I’m going to look at those photos forever,” she said.

Speaking to TV WEEK in early 2018, Sarah gushed about the first moment she met ex-Packed To The Rafters actor when she moved from Melbourne to Sydney to start her role as Willow on Home and Away.

Little did Sarah know, the man of her dreams was waiting for her on the sands of Summer Bay in the form of her co-star James.

“I know – I found it [love]!” she grinned after we pointed out this happy fact. And the actress has a surprising way of recalling when they crossed paths for the first time.

“We started dating around the time of the Connor McGregor fight [against boxer Floyd Mayweather]. It’s pretty funny that’s how I remember it,” Sarah laughed.
