Jaimi Kenny's untimely death at just 33 has sent shockwaves around the nation.
But it is the grief her family is feeling that is unquestionably the most raw.
On Monday night, two days after Jaimi was farewelled at a private funeral service on the Sunshine Coast, her aunt Melinda Kenny took to Instagram to pay tribute to her niece while revealing touching details from her "beautiful" funeral service.
"She always said we had the same hair, I think she was right," Grant Kenny's sister penned.
She continued: "We said goodbye to my darling niece JK on Saturday night in a service that can only be described as simultaneously heartbreaking & visually beautiful.
"1000 fairy lights ✨✨✨Hundreds of flowers 🌸🌸Many hugs, Loving memories, Heartfelt tributes, Flowing tears..."
The sister of ironman Grant Kenny went on to reveal just how close she was to her niece.
"She introduced me to colour, florals, & drop-waisted, flowy dresses. She taught me how to rock a top-knot & that red sandals were cool. She occupied a unique space hovering somewhere between my niece, my daughter & a girlfriend."
Melinda also revealed she was privileged enough to speak at Jaimi's funeral on Saturday.
"She was dearly loved by all of us & we are heartbroken. I had the honour of speaking at her service...not easy."
"This is an excessively difficult time for my family & I have been overwhelmed with messages of love & support. Thank you. MK💞"
Melinda, who describes herself as a stylist, accompanied her post with a touching selfie with her niece - their flowing blonde locks and beaming smiles on full display.
Jaimi's aunt also posted two throwback photos to her Instagram Stories - one of the pair sharing a hug alongside the caption "heartbroken" and another of her brother Grant with his oldest daughter.
"Favourite pic of Jaimi with my amazing brother GK xx," she wrote.
On Tuesday morning, Jaimi's mother Lisa Curry posted a poignant photo holding her daughter with the heartbreaking caption: "😞💔👼 I don't know what to do...."
Jaimi, the oldest child of sporting legends Lisa Curry and Grant Kenny, passed away on September 14 last week following a private battle with a long-term illness.
