Ever since Jackie Gillies first appeared on the Real Housewives of Melbourne, she’s had premonitions that she was going to be a mother of twins. Now, years later, her dreams have come true but not in the way she expected.

“I had a premonition where my grandmother came to me and said I’m going to have twins. That was when I was going through my miscarriage,” Jackie, 41, reveals to TV WEEK.

“In the depths of my soul, I always knew I would have children but I didn’t know whether that would be through surrogacy, adoptions or through giving birth naturally. I didn’t think it would be after rounds of IVF!”

The leading psychic, who gave birth over the weekend, has been honest that it wasn’t an easy path to get where she is today. Despite the lows, she knew her story was an important one to share with other women.

Jackie said she and co-star Janet Roach talked about pregnancy for years.

“I wanted to be real. I am 100% authentic in who I am,” she explains.

“What would be the point of being on television and not sharing the truth of what I’m actually going through in life.

This week, Jackie reveals her good news at fellow housewife Anjali Rao’s vintage themed pool party. And while her due date is just around the corner in November, it’s a memory that still “gives her goosebumps” whenever she thinks about it.

“Janet, being my best friend, and I have talked about pregnancy for years. It was a really emotional moment for me because I could finally tell them I’m pregnant and it’s not just the IVF bloat,” Jackie shares.

“Everybody just cried of happiness because they’d seen my journey and how hard it was.”

While Jackie and her husband, musician Ben Gillies, are busy with their newborns, she’s thankful that she has the show to document her pregnancy story – all the while being dressed in beautiful outfits.

“It’s a really special thing because it’s my entire journey, with all of the raw emotions,” she says.

“I feel really blessed that one day I’ll be able to share this with my children.”
