It was the most highly anticipated wedding of the year, and now we’re excited to share with you all the intimate moments from George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s big day!
In this special souvenir issue of Woman’s Day - ON SALE NOW* we take you on a magical journey through the stunning Venice nuptials and share with you ALL the beautiful stories and EXCLUSIVE images from inside the star-studded ceremony.
From the celebrity guests to Amal’s amazing Oscar de la Renta dress, we’ve got all the details on the lavish reception at the extravagant Aman Canal Grande resort hotel, as well as the gorgeous suit George wore (made by a very good friend of the groom), and the extravagant menu.
One of the most romantic details of the day was their telling music choices.
As guests arrived to witness the ceremony, they were serenaded by the heavenly voice of Nora Sagal singing the Irving Berling song Always.
The beautiful melody holds a special place in George’s heart because it’s the same song his parents, Nick and Nina Clooney, danced to at their wedding in 1959. *Special souvenir issue Australia’s Eastern states from Thursday Oct 2 and all other states Monday Oct 6.
And Nora’s magical performance of the classic hit, which had friends and family spellbound for every second, makes it even more memorable.
The 18-year-old was later joined by her father, Warner Bros executive David Sagal, to perform Cole Porter’s ballad Why Shouldn’t I for the newly married couple as they danced their first dance as husband and wife.
“As the only Australian media to have secured the exclusive wedding album, I’m thrilled our readers will experience this gorgeous, glamorous event.
