It’s been a tumultuous season of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here already. At just nine episodes in, we’ve seen two of the shows more controversial contestants Bernard Tomic and Anthony Mundine dramatically walk out, while 80s pop icon Tiffany Darwish is also showing signs of quitting.

All this turmoil does make you wonder, what the hell is going on in the jungle? With more contestants still to join the unhappy campers, we’re hoping for a special star to enter the jungle and lift camp morale.

But could that special someone be much-loved TV host Lisa Wilkinson? It actually might be! The former Today show presenter has hinted she may be en route to the jungle to conduct a ‘special interview’ for The Project.

Lisa sent fans into a spin on Thursday night, when she posted a selfie from the airport.

Posing in front of a departures board the popular Aussie captioned her snap: “Right now heading somewhere on this board for a VERY special interview for @theprojecttv – can you guess where? #theproject #channel10 #upupandaway”.

Lisa’s followers were quick to note several flights to Johannesburg were listed on the board behind her, speculating that she was on her way to the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here jungle.

“Welcome to the jungle!” wrote one fan.

“Hope you’re on your way to the jungle. Would love to see ya there Lisa!” commented another.

Lisa is yet to reveal her current location.

Lisa made a stellar debut on Network 10’s The Project earlier this month. The TV host ended rumours that she and fellow star of The Project, Carrie Bickmore were “at war” with each other over salary disputes when she spoke with news.com.au recently.

“I couldn’t believe [there were rumours] because this is complete fiction. Carrie can’t believe it, I can’t believe it,” she said.

“We refuse to engage in it, because it would only give it credibility and there is no truth to it. Carrie and I have been mates for years.”

Lisa is loved for her kindness and nurturing nature on screen. We think she might be just the friendly face our campers need to get through the coming weeks in the jungle.
