Home and Away star charged with rape and assault

Martin Lynes has been charged with the rape and assault of a woman in her NSW home.

Former Home and Away star Martin Lynes has been charged with the rape and assault of a woman in her home in Bateau Bay, on the NSW central coast.

Lynes, 48, has been charged with a string of offences including one count of sexual intercourse without consent and three counts of common assault at Wyong police station on February 28, news.com.au reports.

Lynes, who has been working as a real estate agent on the NSW central coast since he retired from acting, has been granted bail on several conditions.

Lynes when he appeared on All Saints.

It includes not going within 100 metres of the victims address and he is prohibited from contacting or trying to contact her.

The former All Saints actor will return to Wyong Court on April 27.
