He’s the voice! Guy Sebastian delights pub-goers as he belts out Aussie classic ahead of Eurovision

In the words of the great John Farnham, “we’re not going to sit in silence” and neither is Guy Sebastian as he treated pub-goers to an impromptu performance at an Austrian pub.

Appropriately, Guy Sebastian used the stage of The Down Under pub in Vienna, Austria to release some tension ahead of his highly-anticipated performance at this year’s Eurovision.

Clint Drieberg from Brisbane’s 97.3fm captured the moment Guy belted out John Farnham’s classic You’re the Voice to a pub full of patriotic Australians.

They waved their green and gold “Team Guy” paddles as they sung along to the 1986 hit and erupted in applause as the song came to an end.

The Down Under pub took to Facebook to praise the 33 year-old for his performance: “Well, this Guy Sebastian actually can sing pretty nice,” they wrote.

It comes after the father-of-two’s wife Jules Sebastian shared a cheeky video with her hubbie on her web series Tea with Jules.

The couple thought they’d poke fun at the question Guy gets asked constantly and at one point he even stormed out of the interview after a comment about his weight.

Despite concerns the Battle Scars singer was having a diva moment, rest assured the very-much-in-love duo were most definitely just having some fun.

Guy Sebastian is making history as Australia’s first ever contender in The Eurovision Song Contest, and as the competition enters its final stages punters believe our Aussie contender could make the top three.

Each participating nation gets to vote for who they think should win the prestigious competition, including Australia – for the very first time!

The votes have notoriously been a reflection of individual country’s political opinion of their opponents, and with Europe being a somewhat fractured place currently, we are in with a real shot.

Our Australian Eurovision judge Richard Wilkins told The Herald Sun that, “maybe our Guy could be the Steven Bradbury of Eurovision.” Here’s hoping!
