Gwyneth Paltrow breaks her silence on Jennifer Lawrence’s relationship with Chris Martin!

Gwyneth Paltrow has finally spoken out about Chris Martin’s relationship with Jennifer Lawrence.

The blonde beauty quashed all reports that she wasn’t a fan of the Hunger Games actress when she went onto Howard Stern’s radio show.

“Who says I don’t approve of Jennifer Lawrence? Why not? Why is it going to be an issue?

“I respect him as the father of my children. It’s his life and it’s his decision and I do think that he loves the kids so much, and I don’t think that he would be with someone that wasn’t great. And if I’m wrong, I’ll come back here and I’ll tell you.”

If Howard was trying to rile Gwyneth up, it didn’t work. The actress was as cool as a cucumber when asked how she would feel if Chris dated Rihanna, describing her as “so cool”, and even Lindsay Lohan. “There’s redemption, people get their acts together,” she said.

The 42-year-old expressed that she was ‘good’ a year on from her separation from the Coldplay front-man. It looks like ‘consciously uncoupling’ is working for Chris and Gwyneth. She couldn’t stop singing his praises.

“He’s lovely. He’s such a sweetheart,

“We actually have a really strong friendship, and we laugh and we have fun.”

The Goop creator was refreshingly honest about the difficulties that come with a separation.

“There are times when it’s really difficult, and things happen, and I’m sure he doesn’t want to hang out with me, and I don’t want to hang out with him, but for the sake of the kids you do it, but you also don’t do it all tense.”

Gwyneth went on: “You say, ‘I really want to find my love for you, and I want to forgive you and I want you to forgive me, and let’s have some fun as a family.’ Because you know, he’s going to be in my life for the rest of my life.”

Deciding to end their 10-year marriage was exceptionally hard for the couple, announcing the separation on her lifestyle website:

“It is with hearts full of sadness that we have decided to separate. We have been working hard for well over a year, some of it together, some of it separated, to see what might have been possible between us, and we have come to the conclusion that while we love each other very much we will remain separate.”

Ultimately it was important they remained great friends and united front for their two kids Apple, 10, and Moses, eight.

“When I was talking to friends of mine who had grown up and their parents were divorced, there was a common theme which was, “Oh yeah, now my parents are great, and they were both at my wedding … but there was five years where they didn’t talk, or there were seven years where they wouldn’t be in the same room. And I was like, ‘Can we just skip to that?’ Because I don’t want to do that to my kids.”

She added: “We’re lucky in that our parenting styles and philosophies overlap a lot. We see eye to eye on how to do it.”

The star was candid about the other ‘love of her life’, her father Bruce Paltrow who passed away in 2002 three week prior to meeting Chris.

“He was kind of the love of my life … I couldn’t cope with the grief, it was really overwhelming. I would die without the therapy I had after he passed away”.
