He was crowned Australian Idol, was on the brink of becoming World Idol, and has dominated our music charts. Now Guy Sebastian is set to take Eurovision by storm as Australia’s first representative. And he’s just released the song he’ll perform in the competition.

The talented 33-year-old musician will sing Tonight Again – a new R&B track written and produced over the past week in Sydney especially for Eurovision.

Guy, who is known for his phenomenal range, teased fans with the idea he’d choose a power ballad. But the track, which was produced in less than 48 hours, is far from that! He spoke to SBS about how he created the track.

“When it came time to decide on a song, I thought since I had a couple of days off in Australia I would try and write something new,” he said. “But if I was to record a new song I wanted it to be homegrown and organic with my band in my studio.

“Truly, we jumped in the studio and let it happen because I wanted to write something fun! We all have moments you don’t want to end and you wish you could live those moments every day so I wanted to write a song about that feeling. I am sure that is how I am going to feel when I am in Vienna performing.”

2015 marks the first year that Australia has been invited to compete in the European music contest, and with Guy’s vocal skills, we’re in with a chance to take out top prize as well!
