Golden girls: see the Logie winners who took out the top spot

Who's going to get the gold this year?

With the 2015 Logies just around the corner and the Gold Logie up for grabs, The Weekly takes a look back at our favourite golden (Logie) girls.

From Asher Keddie to Rebecca Gibney, Women’s Weekly cover favourites often (coincidentally?) take out the gold. Joining Asher and Rebecca on the gold list are Lisa McCune, Kate Richie, Georgie Parker and Denise Drysdale.

That’s quite a line up!

Asher Keddie, who is famous for playing Dr Nina Proudman in Offspring, has six Logies, but only one Gold.

Rebecca has been nominated for a Gold Logie four times in your career, and won two of them.

Kate Richie won her Gold Logie for Most Popular TV Personality.

All Saints star, Georgie Parker, took our two Goldies consecutively in 2001 and 2002.

Lisa McCune holds the record for the most Gold Logies won, with a whopping four consecutively in 1997, 1998, 1999 and 2000 for Blue Heelers.

Rowena Wallace won hers in 1984.

OTT personality, Jeanne Little, won her 1976 Gold Logie for Best TV personality.

Maggie Tabberer or ‘Maggie T’, won two consecutive Gold Logies in 1970 and 1971 for her work on her talkshow, Maggie.

Denise Drysdale also won consecutive Gold Logies in 1975 and 1976 for TV Personality.

Lorrae Desmond was the first ever female to win a Gold Logie for The Lorrae Desmond Show.
