Our hearts can’t take it! One day after we learnt that Taylor Swift and Calvin Harris had gone belly up, another celeb couple bites the dust!

Just seven months into their whirlwind romance the glamorous duo have reportedly gone their separate ways, E! News reports.

The cause for their break-up has yet to come to light however according to the website, the stars were fighting during Gigi’s recent 21st birthday celebrations.

However, it might not be the end of their romance just yet as the insider cites the fact they have “broken up and gotten back together a few times.”

“Zayn and Gigi did break up, but they can likely get back together tomorrow. It’s all very unclear what’s going on between them now. They been having some issues lately that involved communication and getting along.”

“Gigi is really sad about this, though, and in a way would like to work it out. It’s more about that constant contact with Zayn that she misses and they did get very close,” the source alleged to E! News.

Neither stars are yet to comment on the claims however on Thursday, the supermodel shared a telling video on Snapchat which showed a card (pictured above) with a love heart that read: “I know it’s obvious, but I love you.”

Since getting together, the duo have become the most in-demand power couple.

In January, the stunning blonde starred in the steamy video clip for Zayn’s single, Pillowtalk.

And in April, the pair proved their high-fashion credentials in a dreamy Vogue editorial shot by the famed Mario Testino.

Sources say the supermodel is “really sad” but the pair may indeed reconcile.

Just last month they made their red carpet debut at the Met Gala, putting on an amorous display.

Speaking about their relationship, the former 1D star recently told Complex Magazine he tried to keep their bond out of the spotlight.

“I try to keep the two very separate. I try to, as much as I can. But there’s only so much you can do,” he said. Before adding: “I’m learning to deal with it. It’s just one of those things now, in the background. I just leave it as a bit of a noise in the background.”

Meanwhile a smitten Gigi admitted she loved collaborating with her beau. “I wish I could be on set with him every day. It doesn’t feel like work when he’s there. It was really fun. We had the best time. It was an adventure to go where we shot it,” she told E! News of their Vogue shoot.

Gigi and Zayn looked seriously loved up during their first red carpet appearance at last month’s MET Gala in New York.
