Georgie Gardner has taken to Instagram to reveal that she recently had a skin cancer cut out of her back.
She captioned the candid upload, “Another skin cancer cut out & a call out to get your skin checked people!!”
The image, which shows the 45-year-old with a large white bandage on her back, has already received close to 3,000 likes and has been met with a deluge of praise and support from her followers.
One commenter wrote, “Thank you for being a great role model and inspiring us all,” while another penned, “Very very sad good on you for putting it out there everyone should have regular checks.”
The Instagram upload, which coincides with an Australia-wide heatwave, also seems to come as a well-timed reminded to many of Georgie’s fans.
One Instagram user took the opportunity to enquire, “Where can I get checked in Sydney?” while another wrote, “Thank you for the reminder @georgiegardner9 I do need to get something checked out.”
Alarmingly, another user revealed, “Thanks have a scratchy thing on my head thinks time to get it fixed…”
Sadly, this isn’t the first time the Channel Nine presenter has battled with skin cancer.
In 2015, Georgie shared another shocking image which showed her with bandages around her mouth.
She captioned the upload similarly to her most recent post, writing, “Gentle reminder to be sun smart & get skin checked – squamous cell carcinoma cut out #sore.”
