George Clooney and wife Amal, who welcomed twins Ella and Alexander in early June, have returned to Venice ahead of their third wedding anniversary.

The couple are in the romantic city for the premiere of George’s film Suburbicon at the Venice Film Festival on Saturday, but their first stop was, of course, dinner for two just off the canal.

The Money Monster actor, 56, and human rights lawyer, 39, were spotted leaving their hotel arm-in-arm before boarding a traditional water taxi. It’s understood they dined at the Hotel Daniele, where they were married in spectacular fashion in 2014.

George and Amal’s latest outing was reminiscent of many of the shots you’ll remember from their spectacular wedding in 2014.

Amal, 39, wore a strapless tulle dress by Ermanno Scervino for the night off parenting duty. She accented the rocker-chic ensemble with two-toned, black-and-navy sling-back heels by Giambattista Valli — oh, and, a red lip!

The edgy look, which featured sheer patches here and there, proved a significant change from the more conservative choices we’ve come to expect from the humanitarian.

Meanwhile, George looked ever the gentleman in a predictable, though perfectly tailored dark-hued suit. He kept the look casual, choosing to forgo a tie for the late summer date night.

That’s amore!

The actor-director was sure to look out for his wife as she exited the water taxi — in high heels, no less!

Easy does it…

The strapless tulle dress by Ermanno Scervino marks a significant change in style for the new mum.

Speaking ahead of his big red-carpet return this week, the filmmaker spoke about life as a new parent.

“I just have to clean the barf off of my tux,” he told the Associated Press in an interview published on Tuesday. “It used to be my barf but now it’s the twins’ barf. So it all works out.”

“Right now my job is changing diapers and walking them around a little bit,” he said about his and Amal’s newborns. “I really didn’t think at 56 that I would be the parent of twins. Don’t make plans. You always have to just enjoy the ride.”

He continued: “Suddenly, you’re responsible for other people, which is terrifying.”

Of course, George admitted that much of the credit belongs to his better half.

“She’s like an Olympic athlete,” he said. “She’s doing so beautifully.”

But even the mayhem of brand-new infants wasn’t enough to keep the new parents away from advocacy.

The Clooney Foundation for Justice recently announced that it will open and fund seven public schools for Syrian refugee children in Lebanon through a $2.25 million partnership with UNICEF.

The collaboration, which is also funded by a $1 million technology grant from HP Inc. and a “generous” donation from Google.org, will strive to provide education services to around 3,000 refugee students who are currently out-of-school.

“We don’t want to lose an entire generation because they had the bad luck of being born in the wrong place at the wrong time,” the beloved duo said in a joint statement.

George and Amal established the foundation in 2016, with a mission of “advancing justice in courtrooms, communities, and classrooms around the world.”

We can’t wait to hear more from the beautiful family-of-four.
