Sofia has always accepted her sex-symbol status, but even she was obviously cringing at Bill Cosby’s invasion of her personal space.
Archival footage of him interviewing Sofia on The Late Show was revisited this week, and it makes for uncomfortable viewing.
Sofia, now an A-list actress, fended off his advances.
At one point Bill, who has now been accused by more than 50 women of rape, drug-facilitated sexual assault, sexual battery and sexual misconduct, leans in close to the actress and declares, “Men look at you and they only think of sin. You make me feel young again. You make me feel very, umm, excited.”
Sofia, now starring in Modern Family as one of TV’s highest-paid actresses, outwardly takes the sleazy comments in her stride, but it’s clear to see even she isn’t sure what to make of Bill’s behaviour.
The 43-year-old recently hit back at rumours that she was one of his alleged victims by telling a radio announce to “Stop inventing nonsense.”
Since the multiple sexual abuse accusers came forward, most compellingly on a New York magazine cover story below, Bill has been stripped of awards, his The Cosby Show has been pulled off air, and Hollywood agency heavyweight CAA has dumped him from their books.
Bill has denied the allegations.
