Erin Molan has opened up about her new relationship, saying she’s “very lucky” to have met someone special.
During the Hughesy, Ed and Erin radio show in 2022, the mother-of-one was questioned about her new beau by co-host Dave Hughes.
“He’s really lovely,” Erin said, though she remained tight-lipped on her new partner’s identity.
Erin is yet to reveal the mystery man’s identity.
(Image: Instagram)The 40-year-old said she kept her new relationship private in its early days after going through a “public break up” with her ex Sean Ogilvy, with whom she split in September 2021.
But despite being a self-described “notoriously private” person, Erin previously revealed she wants to share more about her personal life.
“It’s still early-ish days. It’s really nice actually. I think anyone who’s been in a long-term relationship, when that ends – particularly if you’ve got kids – you kind of go through this stage where you don’t know if you’ll ever meet anyone again,” she said.
“But it’s lovely when you meet someone who makes you feel like you’re worthy and like you’re special and like you’re important. It’s a lovely thing and I’m very lucky.
Erin, who shares her daughter Eliza with her ex Sean, said dating with kids adds extra pressure.
(Image: Instagram)“But who knows! It could all go to crap. Tomorrow I could screw it up and be alone again,” she laughed.
Erin later revealed the unexpected way she met her partner, saying she felt instant chemistry.
“I was driving into the carpark, he was driving out. That’s the first time we saw each other but we didn’t meet until a couple of months after that,” she said.
“I’m not a believer in fate… but the timing of it was pretty incredible. We locked eyes and I felt something.”
Erin said it was “scary” putting herself out there and be vulnerable with a man, particularly while being a mother to her three-year-old daughter Eliza.
“Dating with a kid is a very different experience. Because it’s not just you you have to worry about if things don’t go well. It’s complex,” she admitted.
Erin’s co-host Hughesy, who’s met her new mystery beau, described him as looking “like he might have played rugby league.”

(Image: Instagram)“He’s tall and strong and fit. He’s handsome and he’s got a very deep voice. He’s got a great sense of humour,” he said, adding that Erin and her new man “look really happy together”.
Erin then laughed that she “feels sorry” for her boyfriend for having to deal with her “oversharing”.
The TV personality and her ex Sean split in September 2021 after four years together. The pair continue to co-parent their daughter Eliza.
Despite this confession in 2022, Erin is yet to reveal more insight into life with her mystery boyfriend.
