Emmys 2018: Opening number celebrates most diverse nominee list ever

The 70th Annual Prime time Emmy Awards are underway and this year they've made a point of showcasing how far Hollywood has come.
Saturday Night Live's Kenan Thompson and Kate McKinnon led an all-star cast in a song and dance, "rewarding" the Television Academy for the "most diverse in Emmys history".
Beginning with a monologue, the pair were delighted with themselves when they realised the academy had "solved it" - meaning the issue of "diversity".
Kristen Bell, Tituss Burgess, Ricky Martin, Ru Paul, Sterling K Brown and the "token straight white guy" Andy Samberg and John legend all made an appearance with the addition of the "diverse" dancers.

In fact, the actress accidentally just let slip her baby's gender during an interview with E!'s Giuliana Rancic at the 2018 Emmys red carpet.
Opening up about her impending arrival, she mused: "I'm just gonna hold him in there hope for the best."
Yvonne, who is up for the [Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series]|target="_blank") gong thanks to her powerful role as Serena Joy, quickly realised her gaffe.
"I just let it slip earlier didn't I? Breaking news," she laughed.
