Every day is a wiggly, wonderful day for our favourite children’s entertainment supergroup, The Wiggles.
But none more so than today, as they celebrate yellow Wiggle Emma Watkins’ birthday.
Leading the tributes on her special day is none other than purple Wiggle and ex-husband Lachlan Gillespie.
Taking to Instagram, Lachy shared a sweet snap of his co-star ex, captioning the post: “💛Happy Birthday Emino 💛”.
Lachy’s current fiancée, Dana Stephensen, liked the post, while fellow red Wiggle Anthony Field followed suit with his own cute photo.
“Happy Birthday Emma!!!” he shared alongside a snap of himself and Emma in their iconic skivvies.
The Wiggles’ power couple Emma and Lachlan announced their separation in August 2018, two years after tying the knot.
The couple confirmed the news in a shared statement at the time.
“We have, and continue to share, the most beautiful life together, but we wanted to let you know that privately for the last six months we have been navigating through a trial separation, and we have made the decision to separate as a couple,” the stars explained in the statement released to the Daily Telegraph.
“Throughout that period, we have performed hundreds of shows together and that is always a continued source of joy for us both.”
The couple didn’t let their split get in the way of work.
(Instagram)Lachy has since found love with dancer Dana, whom he met on set while filming a Wiggles DVD special.
The senior Australian Ballet dancer also revealed the two had an instant spark after meeting in December 2018.
Opening up about their romance, mother-of-one Dana told the Daily Telegraph: “He’s just amazing and I just love him so much.”
“Lachy and I just had a really beautiful connection straight away. It was between us, but after the fact quite a few people noticed,” she said at the time.
The couple have since welcomed twins!
(Instagram)Although Dana and Lachy shared the news of their engagement in April, the couple never publicly announced their pregnancy.
Earlier this month, however, the announcement of their surprise twin girls’ arrival was made.
In a touching first family snap, the proud parents can be seen holding their tiny newborn daughters – Lulu and Lottie – in total love and awe.
The sisters are clad in matching beanies and the trademark rainbow bunny rugs from the hospital.
“Oh Lulu and Lottie, your mummy and daddy love you with all we have – you are both so beautiful – and I would love to sing to you both forever……… 🌈💜💜🌈,” Lachy wrote alongside the pic.
Meanwhile, Dana posted the same photo, musing: “Lulu and Lottie – our two little sweethearts 💕💕.”
