Emma Watson, 26, is the latest celebrity to be targeted by photo hackers.
A representative for the Harry Potter star has confirmed the authenticity of the pictures, stating that "photos from a clothes fitting Emma had with a stylist a couple of years ago have been stolen. They are not nude photographs."
"Lawyers have been instructed and we are not commenting further," the rep added.
While the actress's rep has denied the content contains nudity, many social media users refute the claim, arguing that they’ve viewed the images firsthand.
The photos, which are believed to be numbered in their dozens, were reportedly first uploaded to the dark web.
Reports suggest that Emma is the first in a long series of celebrities who have been targeted in the attack.
The photo leak comes just days after the Beauty and the Beast actress revealed her strict no-selfie policy in the March issue of Vanity Fair.
The actress, who has been famous for more than half her life, explains to Derek Blasberg in the new interview that while a selfie with fans is off the table, a pretty wonderful Plan B awaits.
"I'll say, 'I will sit here and answer every single Harry Potter fandom question you have but I just can't do a picture.' I have to carefully pick and choose my moment to interact. When am I a celebrity sighting versus when am I going to make someone's freakin' week? Children I don't say no to, for example," she said.
“For me, it’s the difference between being able to have a life and not. If someone takes a photograph of me and posts it, within two seconds they’ve created a marker of exactly where I am within 10 meters. They can see what I’m wearing and who I’m with. I just can’t give that tracking data."
The notoriously private A-lister will soon hit the silver screen again as Belle in the highly anticipated new movie Beauty and the Beast.
