Elsa Pataky, the model, actress and wife of Chris Hemsworth, has come out swinging against her brother-in-law Liam Hemsworth's ex-wife Miley Cyrus, revealing she believes Liam "deserves better" from a relationship.
The 43-year-old let loose on the red carpet at Spanish clothing brand Women's Secret's annual KissMas Time party in Madrid this week, and wasn't shy about letting her real feelings about Miley be heard.
"My brother-in-law, well ... After a relationship that you've dedicated ten years to, he's a little bit down, but he's coping well, he's a strong boy and he deserves the best, I think he deserves much better," Elsa told Hola! magazine.
Liam spent time at Elsa and Chris' family home in Bryon Bay following the split, and Elsa revealed he was welcomed with open arms during the difficult period.
"You always find support in your family, and he's joined at the hip with his brother, who has been there to give all the strength he needed," she said.
Liam and Miley first announced they had separated in August and their divorce proceedings are now officially underway.
"Liam and Miley have agreed to separate at this time," a representative for Miley said in a statement at the time.
"Ever-evolving, changing as partners and individuals, they have decided this is what's best while they both focus on themselves and careers. They still remain dedicated parents to all of their animals they share while lovingly taking this time apart. Please respect their process and privacy."
Since then, Miley has been enjoying her newfound single status, first coupling up with US reality TV star and the ex-wife of Caitlyn Jenner's son Brody Jenner, Kaitlynn Carter.
Now, she is dating Australian pop singer and winner of The Masked Singer, Cody Simpson.
Liam is also reportedly trying to move on, and has been spotted out and about with Australian actress Maddison Brown, though it's unclear if the pair are officially dating, or just friends.

During her red carpet appearance, Elsa also revealed her family plans to spend Christmas in Australia.
"We get all together there, my brother and my family live there too. It's different as it's summer season, and you miss the winter Christmas holidays, the snow, the warm clothes… I still find it hard to put the tree up and wear a swimsuit!" she said.
And as for what makes her relationship with Chris tick?
"Saying 'I'm sorry' is great, and very healthy," she revealed "but we find it very hard. I have been a very proud woman, but when you are with someone that loves you and you're surrounded by love, you learn to say 'I'm sorry' many times. That's the most important thing in a relationship."
