And while the supermodel known as ‘The Body’ appears as happy as ever, her new partner is has some scratching their heads.

Former doctor Andrew Wakefield and his now ex-wife Carmen Wakefield.

Who is Andrew Wakefield?

Elle’s reported new partner, Andrew Wakefield is a former gastroenterologist working in the England, until he was struck off the UK medical register for unethical behaviour, misconduct and fraud.

The Texan-born British-raised 61-year-old is a key figure in the controversial anti-vaxxer movement. In 1998 Wakefield wrote a fraudulent research paper claiming the measles, mumps and rubella vaccine was a possible cause of autism and bowel disease.

His claims were unfounded.

After Wakefield published the controversial paper, vaccination levels dropped considerably in the UK (from about 90 per cent to 70 per cent), and there was a dangerous rise in the prevalence of measles and mumps.

The discredited former doctor has continued to stand by his claims, and although he is banned from practicing medicine in the UK, Wakefield has taken his anti-vaxx views to the United States. He is also reportedly a supporter of Donald Trump.

Elle Macpherson who has had two previous marriages, to Soffer for four years, and French fashion photographer Gilles Bensimon for three years until 1989, has always practiced a ‘holistic’ and possibly alternative approach to health.

“I have a very holistic perspective on health. I choose to look after my body from a Chinese medicine perspective, which promotes and maintains wellness rather than treats illness,” she told The News of the World newspaper in the UK.

“I have acupuncture regularly and I see a Chinese doctor who treats most common ailments with herbs.”

It is not known if she is a supporter of the anti-vaxxer movement like her new partner.

Macpherson has two sons, Arpad Flynn Busson, 20, and Aurelius Cy Busson, 15, to ex-boyfriend, French financier Arpad Busson.
