Former Home and Away star Ditch Davey has shared a heartfelt tribute to his son Taika on his eleventh birthday.
The 49-year-old doting dad took to Instagram to praise his lookalike son and shared a series of sweet throwback snaps.
“Happy birthday to my beautiful boy! I couldn’t be prouder of the person you are, and the young man you’re becoming,” he penned.
Ditch said he “couldn’t be prouder” of his son.

Ditch’s former Summer Bay castmates shared their well-wishes to Taika, with Georgie Parker commenting: “Happy birthday Taika.”
“These are the best photos!!!! HBD T!!!!! ❤️💫🤩” Sarah Roberts wrote, while Sam Frost and Emily Symons spread the love with heart emojis.
Ditch shares Taika and his eldest son Eden, 18, with his wife Sophia Dunn, whom he married in 2010.
Chatting to TV WEEK last year, Ditch lit up when talking about Taika and described his youngest as a “pretty animated” young boy.

(Image: Instagram)“He’s followed me and did a couple of voice-over jobs a little while ago, and he’s pretty theatrical,” Ditch said.
“When [Taika and Eden] were a bit younger, they used to come to set and play around with Nerf guns or raid the craft services table.”
As for whether or not that means the 11-year-old might follow in his acting footsteps, Ditch isn’t too sure of that just yet.
“I’m happy for them to forge their own path if that’s that they want to do – or not. It’s more important to me that they grow up being good, happy people,” he said.
Ditch and his family relocated from Melbourne to Sydney in September 2020 after he landed the role of Dr Christian Green on the soap.
“I’ve worked in a triangle pattern between Australia, New Zealand and America for a lot of my career, so I was quite busy doing those loops,” he previously told TV WEEK.
“Then this came up and I thought, ‘Let’s do it.’ I’ve always been flexible in my career, so it was more the trajectory of the character than anything else that drew me in.”
For the family, the timing of the move brought both heartbreak and relief amid the global pandemic. At the time, Victoria was on the cusp of a second wave of COVID, and the Home And Away team were taking necessary precautions in NSW.
