After over 100 days, Sydney has finally started to slowly but surely open up.

On Monday 11, the NSW Government informally declared Freedom Day where restrictions lifted for the fully vaccinated and the effects of the exciting sentiment were felt by your favourite celebrities too.

The long-awaited win for Sydneysiders came after they reached a 70 per cent vaccination rate, and Zoë Foster Blake shared a congratulatory message for her fans.

The writer and mum-of-two posted a cute graphic on her Instagram with the acronym FEAR, which represents Feeling Excited and Ready.

In her caption, she began by listing all the exciting activities people can start doing again after months inside.

“Good onya, NSW! Enjoy a return to some sense of normality. Have a coffee IN a cafe, ON a seat! Smash into the gym! Venture further than 5k from your home! Get your talons tended to! Have people you love in your home! Buy a top that you can actually try on, first! (Weird.).” she said.

For the remainder of her post, she shared her love for small businesses and her old stomping grounds of Melbourne, which is still in the thick of lockdown.

“And to all the small businesses who can operate again; we look forward to supporting you with terrifying enthusiasm.

“Victoria I love you! A few weeks to go…! ❤️‍🩹 We all wanna visit the heck out of you ASAP.

“*Knowing nod to anyone else who moved from Victoria to NSW this year and got the extended remix lockdown: 262 days. Oof! Probably time we all got a tatt,” she finished.

Meanwhile Bachelor couple Matty J and Laura Byrne rang in the milestone with one of the unique and funny skits they like to share on Instagram.

It starts with Laura marking her calendar and shouting, “Babe, we did it!

Matty J then screams back, “It’s Freedom Day.”

But as they try to mark the occasion with exciting plans like a dinner or a picnic or popping into a friend’s house, they realise it’s all too overwhelming, and they awkwardly sip champagne before deciding to stay in and order takeaway.

Laura captioned the shenanigans, “FREEDOM DAY!!! Who else did the exact same thing they’ve done for the past 4 months?! 😅😂🥳.”

“Reunited, and it feels so good.”

Over on the Home and Away set, Emily Symons posted a selfie with Georgie Parker and Bruce Murray after reuniting with them yesterday.

“Reunited, and it feels so good,” she shared.

Freedom Day also ushered in a new Bachelor friendship between Jimmy Nicholson, Holly Kingston and Abbie Chatfield.

The reality television alums caught up for some cocktails, and Abbie hilariously brought her Vush vibrator along as her date.

“So jealous of your love story though.”
