Classical art gets street renaissance revival

From art galleries to alley ways, Julien de Casabianca is breathing life back into the forgotten paintings of the world.

With museums and art galleries taking a down turn on the cool factor lately, classical art pieces haven’t enjoyed the fame they used to.

Apart from Art History majors and the classically-minded few, most don’t pay too much attention to classical paintings. Which is what Julien de Casabianca wants to change.

After a visit to the Louvre, de Casabianca noticed that some of the older paintings were slowly being forgotten. To fight this, he began taking the masterpieces and turning them into street art. From images of Queens and Kings, to historical portraits, classical art is making a resurgence at the hands of de Casabianca and his project, ‘Outings’.

Art suddenly got so much cooler.
