It’s been an emotional time for the Arquettes following on from David’s sister Alexis’ death last month, but Christina and David finally have something to celebrate – a new bundle of joy!
The couple, who already share a two year-old son, Charlie, made an adorable Instagram announcement to tell the world that they’re expecting.
The actor uploaded a video of his two-year-old son holding an ultrasound photo, and wrote: “So incredibly blessed and honored that my wife @christinaarquette is pregnant with a baby boy!
“Thank you Christina and humbled gratitude to G-D for this tremendous gift! Charlie and Coco are so excited and I am over the moon!!!”
Christina can be heard in the background saying “Say, ‘Hi, brother!’” to Charlie.
He sweetly asks “Baby?” to which she replies “Yeah, it’s a baby in my belly.”
“Hi baby!”, he adds: “Hi brother!” before giving the photo a kiss. Too cute!
David and Cristina welcomed their first son Charlie in 2014.
Christina and David began dating in 2011, but briefly split in 2012.
At the time, David tweeted: “Sadly I’m single again. A long distance relationship proved to be too difficult.”
However, the pair worked things out and announced they were having a baby in November 2013. They tied the knot last year.
David is also father to 12 year-old daughter, Coco, from his previous marriage to Courtney Cox – but that hasn’t stopped the star getting broody!
In a 2014 interview with PEOPLE, he said: “Since Charlie has come into my life, I love Coco more than ever.
“Having a son has brought back memories and made me realize how much I miss enjoying her as a baby.”
