It seems like an eternity ago that Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus divorced after eight months of marriage last year.
But now Liam’s older brother Chris has weighed in on the break up, with a cryptic comment about his former sister-in-law.
Miley and Liam called it quits in August 2019.
(Image: Getty)In a chat with news.com.au, the Thor star confessed his younger brother had become the fitter Hemsworth, remarking that he was impressed by his recent Men’s Health cover.
“He’s out there training and staying fit, and back in Australia doing his thing,” Chris explained before adding with a grin, “It’s Australian living, I guess. We got him out of Malibu!”
Malibu was Liam and Miley’s former home town, as well as the name of Miley’s 2017 hit single, which described falling in love with Liam again.
Chris is looking out for his younger brother.

Elsa Pataky, who’s been married to Chris since 2010 let loose at a red carpet event in 2019, and didn’t hide her feelings about former sister-in-law Miley.
“My brother-in-law, well … After a relationship that you’ve dedicated ten years to, he’s a little bit down, but he’s coping well, he’s a strong boy and he deserves the best, I think he deserves much better,” Elsa told Hola! magazine.
She also revealed that Liam had spent time at her and Chris’ family home in Bryon Bay following the split, adding that he was welcomed with open arms during the difficult period.
“You always find support in your family, and he’s joined at the hip with his brother, who has been there to give all the strength he needed,” she said.

(Image: Instagram @elsapatakyconfidential)Liam has since moved on from his ex with Aussie model Gabriella Brooks and spoke to Men’s Health about the “stressful” period when his personal life was strewn across the media, confessing “it really got to me.”
“Yeah, look, there are times when you want to lash out and say something… These days I don’t want to invest any more time in worrying about that sort of stuff,” he said.
“I remind myself of what to appreciate now and to enjoy every moment as much as possible, whether that be working or with my family or whatever I’m doing. Just trying to find a positive in it all and enjoy life as much as possible.”
