In a terrifying incident at the Irwin family's Crocoseum on Australia Day, Bindi's fiance Chandler Powell took a tumble into the water just meters from an angry croc!
"It was one of those heart-stopping moments," says an onlooker. "Everyone knows crocs can be on you in a split second, so Chandler was very lucky he scrambled out when he did. He looked very shaken up."
Chandler, 23, who moved from Florida to Australia Zoo when he got serious with Bindi, 21, lives there with the family, including Bindi's mum Terri, 55, and brother Robert, 16. He has thrown himself into life at the zoo, where he's been training to become a croc handler.
"He's trying so hard to impress Bindi, her mum and the staff at the zoo. Everyone wants him to fill Steve's shoes, so he's under a lot of pressure. He never says no to anything, even if it's dangerous," says a family insider.
"But everyone else who works there grew up handling dangerous animals, and a lot of people forget Chandler's still pretty green. It must worry his parents [Chris and Shannan] sick when they hear of incidents like this."

Chandler no doubt will be spending a lot more time learning the Irwin family business, with his wedding to Bindi fast approaching.
In July last year, the couple announced their engagement, sharing the news on Bindi's 21st birthday.
Taking to Instagram, the wildlife warrior shared pictures of the ring and gushed about her beau.
"On my birthday I said 'yes' and 'forever' to the love of my life," Bindi wrote.
"Chandler, close to 6 years ago I fell in love with you and every day since has been a whirlwind of adventure and true happiness. I'm so looking forwarding to spending our forever together as your wife. Here's to a lifetime of friendship, purpose and unconditional love. — Now let's get married already!"
