When it comes to weight loss, we’re bombarded with quick fix tales of skinny teas, lemon detoxes and various other methods that are both unsustainable and dangerous.

And while there are plenty of people out there who follow those weight loss methods, thankfully there are some celebrities who are not only shedding the kilos, but also doing it in a way that’s healthy and realistic.

By adopting smarter eating habits and squeezing in more exercise, these stars have proven that they don’t need gimmicks to get their health and weight back on track.

Take Sunrise‘s Samantha Armytage for example. The TV journalist, who recently was announced as the new face of WW (formerly Weight Watchers) revealed that she wanted to be healthy and strong instead of skinny and still indulges in cheese and bikkies every now and then.

“I’ve gone back to the gym, I’ve got a trainer, I box twice a week, I walk the dog every day. I don’t think that’s giving in to body shamers. This is about me feeling good and going into this next phase of my life, my forties, feeling strong and having energy,” she told the Australian Women’s Weekly.
