The annual class photo of Oscar nominees where those in line for the prize get to size each other up was held at the Beverly Hilton hotel on Monday night.
Nominees in attendance included Bradley Cooper (American Sniper), Oprah Winfrey (Selma), Reese Witherspoon (Wild) andSteve Carell (Foxcatcher). From all accounts everybody looked like they had a swell time, and charming Eddie Redmayne had the crowd eating out of his charming hands with this anecdote about his Golden Globe tropy.
Redmayne was going through air security after his win when this happened:
“Through the X-ray machine (at the airport) in my hand luggage. I saw the woman stop the thing. And go close up on this weird-shaped thing. I was praying they would make me open it up. And they did. It was a very special moment. The guy was like, is this real?”
