Hollywood sure loves a powerful woman, and never has it been more apparent than today as Hillary Clinton makes history as the first female presidential nominee of any major American political party.

Stars as diverse as Alan Cumming, Connie Britton, Jane Fonda, Jaime King, Julie Bower, Idina Menzel, Eva Longoria and many more, released a rendition of chart-topper ‘Fight Song’ today to celebrate the Democratic presidential candidate’s success.

The song was played during the Democratic National Convention. It has, of course, since gone viral.

Actress Elizabeth Banks was behind the project, one of many A-listers hoping to use their platform to encourage Americans to vote #1 for Clinton.

The message behind the song is to never give up even when the odds are stacked against you, so it’s no doubt also a message they’re hoping will empower Clinton further as the race heats up.
