Carrie Fisher to haters: Youth and beauty are not accomplishments

The Star Wars actor has hit back at trolls who have claimed she’s aged badly

Actor Carrie Fisher has hit back at haters who have told her she “hasn’t aged well” after seeing the latest Star Wars film.

The 59-year-old actress began retweeting mean tweets written about her looks and reminding other users that beauty is not important.

“Please stop debating about whether or not I aged well, unfortunately it hurts all three of my feelings,” Fisher said, sarcastically.

“My BODY hasn’t aged as well as I have.”

“My body is my brain bag, it hauls me around.”

Fisher first portrayed Princess Leia in 1977 when she was 21.

She also retweeted comments from supporters, including one who said, “Men don’t age better than women, they’re just allowed to age.”

Another posted an image mimicking the “Star Wars” marquee opening that reads: “A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away….Someone else might have given a f—k.”
