Introducing Indi Rae Warner, who was born in Sydney on Thursday morning.
“Candice and I welcomed beautiful little Indi Rae Warner into the world this morning. Mum was absolutely amazing. #prouddaddy,” David penned on Facebook alongside a sweet family snap at the hospital.
In the pic, their newborn daughter rests peacefully on Candice’s chest as David beams at the camera, clearly elated with love.
Moments later he shared another precious photo, this time of his first daughter Ivy Mae, 16 months, meeting her little sister Indi.
“Ivy Mae has just met her little sister for the first time. Big kisses #bigsister,” the Sydney sports star wrote.
While the new mother-of-two shared a photo of her girls and David on Thursday afternoon: “Daddy with his little girls. Welcome to the world Indi Rae Warner, you are perfect in every way. Feeling very blessed at the moment. #love #family @davidwarner31,” she gushed.
Being a big sis suits Ivy! “Ivy Mae has just met her little sister for the first time. Big kisses #bigsister,” the cricket pro mused.
Just yesterday it appeared baby Indi Rae was on the way after David left the One Day Series to return home to his wife.
The couple have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of their second child since July after taking to Instagram to reveal their family of three was expanding to four.
Candice, 30, shared a darling shot of her little girl looking as excited as can be while holding onto her mum’s ultrasound.
“Ivy is so excited and so are we that she is going to have a little sister to play with soon. @davidwarner31 & I couldn’t be happier that our little family of 3 will soon become 4,” the expecting mum captioned the photo, while David added that Candice “is all fit and well. We are very excited about the news!”
Candice entered motherhood after giving birth to her first bundle of joy on September 11th, 2014.
Ivy Mae seems exceptionally pleased that she is now a big sister!
“Ivy brings nothing but joy and pleasure to David and me, and the affect that she has had on not just us, but also our family and friends, has been incredible. She brings out the best in both of us,” the glowing athlete gushed to Mother And Baby magazine earlier in the year.
Candice and David, who began dating in September 2013, have experienced a whirlwind romance.
“It’s amazing, my life is a fairytale,” Candice admitted to The Daily Telegraph.
Woman’s Day was lucky enough to witness Candice and David’s breathtaking wedding earlier in the year.
“When we first met he spoke to my heart like no one had before and that is when I knew he was the one.”
David held back tears of joy when he saw his bride follow their gorgeous daughter Ivy Mae down the aisle.
“How could I not have a tear in my eye when I saw Candice walk around the corner looking like the most beautiful bride in the world?” He said.
“I was struck again by just how lucky I was to find The One – the woman I will spend the rest of my life with.”
