Brooke Shields turns herself into a 'human Barbie Doll'.

The former child model, actress and author caused something of a stir when she posted a photo of herself transformed into a human Barbie doll in a box.

Yes, really.

Shields, who just released a memoir about the relationships between herself and her mother, who was also her manager and who died two years ago, There Was a Little Girl, captioned the eerily grinning photo of herself wearing a sparkly green top inside a plastic coated box,

“I made this thanks to you #ContainerStore!!”

It’s not the first time that Brooke has had a run-in with a doll.

In 1982 the former child star was made into a doll form with the aptly named Brooke Shields doll that came complete with a plastic ring, hair brush and a spectacularly 80s ad jingle that went a little something like this “Brooke Shields, she’s a beautiful gal.”

The non-Barbie doll Brooke has certainly been busy. In addition to her memoir she’s quite the handmade present maker.

She recently Instagrammed a production line of homemade popcorn that she was giving out to loved ones this Christmas.
