Since she welcomed her identical twin daughters Myrtle Mae and Emerald Lois in October 2018, former Home And Away actress Bonnie Sveen has kept them relatively out of the spotlight.

And while privacy is paramount for the star, this week she has given fans a rare glimpse of her gorgeous girls – and it’s all for a very special reason.

Marking her partner Nathan Gooley’s birthday on Monday, the 31-year-old shared two new photos of her girls as she paid tribute to her “co-pilot” in life.

In the first black-and-white snap, Nathan can be seen fully embracing the multi-tasking life of a new parent as he tries to read a book while cradling his sleeping daughter.

In the second photo, Bonnie and Nathan proudly hold their two-year-old girls for a family photo – however their faces are looking away from the camera.

“Thanks for making two funny munchkins with me – and sharing the copilot duties.👩🏼‍✈️,” Bonnie captioned her touching post.

“Maybe one day you’ll have me back on your Scrabble team. In the meantime it’s an honour and a privilege, listening to your rap flows and banjo self-teachings👨🏻‍🌾.”

“Thanks for the laughs + HB for yesterday 🎈NC! @ncgooley 🦌,” she signed off.

The former Home And Away star has spoken about her director partner Nathan in the past, revealing that he was a pillar of support as she navigated the Australian entertainment industry.

Speaking to TV WEEK in 2017, Bonnie said she credits him for helping her find her feet and feel secure during her whirlwind career.

“I think there was someone who was sharing it with me, who was able to, not necessarily protect me, as though I needed it or that’s what he was doing, but you do definitely share it,” she told us at the time.

In July this year, she again opened up to TV WEEK, telling us that while she “adores” being a mum to her girls, it hasn’t been easy.

“Having a baby is a huge transition for most women,” she admitted.

“I’m going to be really frank. The first year was so hard; it was just something you can’t prepare for. Energy-wise and physically, having two was a huge, huge thing for me.”

Again, she owed her sanity as a parent to partner Nathan, who has been by her side to muddle through the twists and turns.

“When the girls turned one, I started to actually feel like myself again,” Bonnie revealed.

“I got little moments of freedom and trusted myself more as a parent.”

Bonnie and Nathan fell in love and started dating after they met on the set of Home And Away in 2015.
