In the emotional preview, in the above video player above, Bindi recalls how she spoke in front of 5,000 people in 2006 for her father’s memorial. Steve’s life had just been tragically cut short after he was attacked by a stingray off the coast of Queensland.

“Before the event actually took place I came to mum and said, ‘I would like to do this for myself and for everyone else’,” the now 17-year-old says.

Bindi was only eight when she delivered a moving speech about her daddy. Looking back at the loss, she says, “That kind of sadness never goes away. It’s like losing a piece of your heart that you never get back.”

“I just personally wanted to say to the world, to anyone watching, anyone who wanted to hear it, that we would be carrying on. And that’s what we’ve chosen to do,” Bindi says.

“We dwell on the happiness in life and just try to remind ourselves of Dad in every way possible. I think in a way you can still feel him at the zoo.”

Promoting the upcoming episode, the OWN network shared a heartbreaking throwback photo of the father-daughter duo together on Instagram.

Captioning the poignant snap of a young Bindi and Steve holding a baby crocodile, they wrote, “As The Crocodile Hunter, Steve touched the hearts of many with his pure love of animals. See how his daughter @bindisueirwin continues his legacy on an all-new #WhereAreTheyNow, Saturday at 10/9c.”

“Throughout my life, I’ll continue down that journey of trying to empower others and carrying on my dad’s footsteps and having fun each and every day,” she declares.
