It’s official! The Twilight actor and musician girlfriend are in fact engaged, despite T-Pain claiming it was merely an April Fools joke.
The confirmation of the happy news comes from two sources telling People, “that after six months of dating, they are engaged!”
Rapper T-Pain was the first to let it slip that Robert Pattinson was engaged to girlfriend, FKA Twigs.
During an interview with Vulturethe American rapper spilled the beans on his collaboration with Rob’s girlfriend and her relationship status.
“Well, the first time we even met each other, we met in the studio. Her music’s changed a lot since then. But she’s on tour so much, and anytime I call her, she’s in a different place. And she’s engaged now, so that’s about to be a whole other thing.” He said.
The interviewer (like us) was shocked by this admission.
“Wait, she’s engaged? That’s news to me.” The interviewer said.
“Yeah, to ol’ Patty [Robert Pattinson]. I don’t know if she wanted anybody to know that…” T-Pain laughed.
And the rapper continued to do so when he revealed on Instagram a day later that is was all an April Fools joke!
“Added a little #AprilFools to my interview with Vulture Magazine today. Check it out!!!!” he captioned an image of interlocked rings.
T-Pain shared this snap of two rings.
Fans were not impressed with T-Pain’s idea of a joke, with one calling the rapper “pathetic”.
Despite Rob and FKA not tying the knot just yet, the couple couldn’t be more loved-up.
An insider revealed to E! News that the former Twilight star had given his girlfriend a “promise ring” and, an engagement wasn’t too far off!
“There is a special connection between the two of them,” the source told E!
