Karl Stefanovic has fueled chatter he’s engaged to girlfriend Jasmine Yarbrough after posting a revealing picture to social media.

Taking to Instagram, the veteran journo posted a photo of the shoe designer on her 34th birthday. She bends down in the picture, smiling, as she celebrates with family, balloons, champagne and — dare we say — an engagement ring weighing down her left hand.

“Happy birthday beauty @jasyarby”, Karl captioned the pic, neglecting to comment on the massive sparkler.

A closer (albeit blurry) look at the ring sending fans into overdrive.

The 43-year-old’s followers were quick to comment on the less-than-subtle upload, with many expressing their excitement over the much-speculated engagement news.

“There’s a rock on her finger!!!!!” one wrote, while another added: “What an amazing rock! Close up please!!”

A third noted: “I love this! Thank goodness you can share the joy now 🙌🏻🤗”

The photo comes just hours after the Today star’s ex-wife, Cassandra Thorburn, opened up about the breakdown of their 21-year marriage.

Speaking with Woman’s Day, the mother-of-three said she had been given a “second chance” at the life she truly deserves.

“I’ve really turned a corner
– I often look back and am comforted at just how far I’ve come. I’m unstoppable, and I’ve never felt more empowered.”

Karl and Cass were married for 21 years.

In a separate interview, the 46-year-old spoke of the “dark days” that followed her split from the media personality.

“There were days in the beginning I would get up, put on a brave face and drop the kids at school, then I’d get to the back door and I would lie in a heap for the rest of the day unable to move – there were very dark days,” she told Woman’s Day last year.

“I was completely gazumped when I realised Karl had gone.”

Cass said that when she was still trying to understand the split, she was experiencing grief, and said it was very much like when a family member dies.

“I realised I was going through stages of grief, and to me it was like someone had died,” she said.

“The children still have a father but I don’t have a husband. He really is dead to me and no, we won’t ever be friends again.”

Cass has now managed to put the grief and anger behind her to forge a new life with her children, Jackson, 18, Ava, 12 and River, 10.

“I get up every day with only one purpose – to make sure my three beautiful kids are happy – everything else really doesn’t matter,” she said.

Cass has put the grief and anger behind her to forge a new life with her three children.

Karl too has spoken out about the highly-publicised split.

“I certainly did not expect to meet someone five months after I broke up with my wife,” he told Stellar magazine in a lengthy interview.

“That was not planned, I did not know her before. I met her on a boat in Sydney. We have a really lovely relationship, but it’s got to be slow for a variety of reasons. I’m not going to share too much on that publicly because I don’t think that’s fair on anyone involved.”

He continued: “It was unexpected and lovely, but we’re going to try to keep a level of privacy to how we’re going and what we’re planning, especially considering I have three beautiful children who need to be taken into consideration.”
