Woman’s Day first revealed in January that Brad and Angelina were beginning the process of adopting a Syrian refugee, and now reports out of the US confirm that the Brangelina brood is about to grow.

Radar Online reported this morning that during a solo trip to a Syrian refugee camp as part of her role as the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees, the mum of six met three orphaned brothers.

“Angelina was heartbroken to learn the three of them had seen their father taken away by Syrian soldiers, and their home was also bombed, and they lost their mother in the bombing,” an “impeccable” source tells the American entertainment website. “The oldest of the three was very quiet but never left Angie’s side during the visit.”

The insider explained that the 40-year-old wanted to adopt all three boys, but ultimately the couple decided that adopting more than one would be too disruptive to their six children, including Maddox, 14, adopted from Cambodia, Vietnamese-born Pax, 11, and 10-year-old Ethiopian Zahara, plus biological children Shiloh, 9, and seven-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.

“Going from six children to nine was just way too much, and Brad was concerned about how it would impact their other kids. But Angie didn’t put up a fight. She knew it just wouldn’t work,” the source says.

Angelina reportedly met the Syrian orphan on a solo trip to a refugee camp as part of her role as the United Nations High Commissioner on Refugees.

This exciting development comes more than eight months after we first reported that Angelina had fallen in love with a two-year-old Syrian orphan named Moussa, who she was introduced to via a translator during one of her many visits to the war-devastated nation.

At the time, he was said to be interned in a Turkish refugee camp, and she and Brad had begun a long negotiation process to bring the little boy home.

“The red tape has been almost impossible at times,” the source tells Radar Online. “It could take at least another four to five months before the child is brought to the United States.”

Brad, 51 and Angelina, 40, are already the proud parents to six kids – three of whom are biological and the other three are adopted.
