It’s the controversial new book about the real Meghan Markle set to rock the palace.

The tome promises to give an “in-depth and unparalleled” exploration on the royal’s newest family member and it’s certainly done just that.

From claims Meghan Markle was in awe of Princess Diana, to whispers she rehearsed the art of tea drinking before her first meeting with the Queen!

As Andrew Morton’s new tell-all on Meghan Markle, titled Meghan: A Hollywood Princess, is set to drop on April 17th, here are five of the most explosive revelations that have been unearthed so far!

1. Meghan Markle cried when Princess Diana died and looked up to her as a role model

According to Andrew Morton’s extensive research, 16-year-old Meghan wept as she watched Princess Diana’s funeral on TV back in 1997.

As one pal tells him, the teen and her friends had “tears coursing down their cheeks at the poignant moment when the cameras zoomed in on the royal coffin.”

Following Princess Diana’s death, Meghan’s fascination with her future mother-in-law grew.

“According to family and friends, she was intrigued by Diana not just for her style but for her independent humanitarian mission, seeing her as a role model,” Morton pens in his book.

Interestingly, this contradicts Meghan’s line during her engagement interview when she claimed not be very familiar with the royal phenomena.

“Because I’m from the States, we don’t grow up with the same understanding of the Royal Family and so, while I now understand very clearly that there’s a global interest there, I didn’t know very much about him (Harry),” she said last year.

Meghan’s childhood friend Ninaki Priddy tells Morton that was far from the case.

“She was always fascinated by the royal family. She wants to be Princess Diana 2.0,” Ninaki says.

Meghan apparently cried when she watched Princess Diana’s funeral with friends.

2. She apparently broke up with her first husband in a very brutal way

Meghan reportedly decided to break-up with her producer husband Trevor Engelson “out of the blue.”

The former couple dated for six years before tying the knot in 2011. They divorced just two years later in 2013.

“Trevor went from cherishing Meghan to, as one friend observed, ‘feeling like he was a piece of something stuck to the bottom of her shoe.’ A wealthy entrepreneur friend claimed the marriage ended so abruptly that Meghan sent her wedding and engagement rings back to Trevor by registered post,” the book says.

“Another confirmed that the decision to end the marriage was made by Meghan and that it had come ‘totally out of the blue.'”

Apparently, Trevor “can barely contain his anger” over the bust-up… even now.

And Morton reports he wasn’t the only one to be frozen out by Meghan, alleging that as her star rose on Suits, her friendship circle was revised.

“He was not the only one experiencing the Meghan chill. She no longer had the time for friends she had known for years, cancelling lunches at short notice or expecting them to rework their own schedules to accommodate the busy life of the rising star,” Morton says.

Trevor reportedly didn’t see the split coming.

3. She rehearsed tea drinking before her historical meeting with The Queen

Last October, just weeks before they announced their engagement, Prince Harry snuck his beloved into Buckingham Palace for a low-key tea party with Queen Elizabeth.

The actress within Meghan decided to prepare for this historical moment by getting tea drinking lessons, Morton writes.

The author says the 36-year-old enlisted the help of Rose Tree Cottage in LA to prep.

“It is where Meghan learned to crook her finger as she held her cup and saucer and sipped her Earl Grey — necessary skills to remember as she dropped a curtsy to her future grandmother-in-law,” Morton writes.

Well, wouldn’t you rehearse if you were getting a private audience with The Queen?

Practice makes perfect!

4. She was never a fan of Donald Trump

During her Deal Or No Deal days in 2006, Morton reveals that when Donald Trump made a guest appearance on the show to promote The Apprentice, Meghan avoided him like the plague.

“He gave the girls his card and invited them to play golf at one of his courses,” fellow briefcase girl Tameka Jacobs told Morton.

“He was super-creepy but some girls were attracted to money and power and took his number. Meghan was one of the girls who gave him a wide berth.”

Donald Trump handed out his business cards but Meghan “gave him a wide berth.”

5. It really was love at first sight with Prince Harry

Whatever you may think of Meghan Markle, there’s one fact that Morton has unearthed that will restore your faith in this whole narrative.

As he puts it: “they had each other at ‘Hello.'”

After being set up on a blind date by mutual friend Violet von Westenholz in 2016, sparks flew between the pair and the rest is history!

It was love at first sight.
