We’ve had the cast list for Celebrity Apprentice Australia‘s 2022 season for quite some time now, but one question is on everyone’s lips: where’s Amy Shark?

The Queensland-based singer and songwriter was advertised as an upcoming contestant on the show but hasn’t been seen since a tiny snippet in the first episode.

Despite this, she appears in the opening credits and is still featured heavily in the marketing materials being used to promote the show. Just like fellow singer Samantha Jade, she poses with a microphone in most of the photos.

But it seems the mystery surrounding Amy’s whereabouts is going to be solved!

In a teaser for Tuesday night’s episode, Amy is seen walking down a set of stairs where her fellow contestants are awaiting her arrival.

“A shark leaves blood in the water,” the voiceover says in the preview, before Amy proclaims: “I’m gonna win this hands down.”

On Tuesday, the official Celebrity Apprentice Instagram also uploaded a promotional shot of Amy alongside the caption: “@AmyShark is hitting centre stage to represent her charity @SupportAct when #CelebrityApprentice continues tonight.”

It’s possible Amy had work commitments she needed to tend to while the first week of filming was underway.

When Celebrity Apprentice‘s sixth season debuted last week, fans were quick to notice Amy’s absence, with a few commenting on social media asking where she is.

“Where is Amy Shark? She’s the reason I’ve tuned in … #CelebrityApprenticeAU” one wrote.

“@amyshark on @CelebApprentice. Cannot wait (after waiting two episodes),” another added.

While the Adore singer was confirmed to appear on the show eventually, her name was initially absent from the first casting announcement.

Her involvement in the show was expected, given she was spotted participating in a task for the show at Manly Beach during filming.

Curiously, she isn’t featured among the celebrities listed on the show’s website either. The list goes in alphabetical order, with former MAFS bride Beck Zemek being the first listed.

While some began to ponder whether she was a one-off guest, a Nine spokesperson confirmed to TV Tonight that Amy is a competing contestant. But then again, Amy’s Instagram and other social platforms are missing any mention of the show, as she’s currently on tour and has stuck to mostly promoting her upcoming shows.

Amy Shark, whose real name is Amy Louise Billings, has made a massive name for herself in the Australian music industry over the last decade.

Her song Adore shot to the top of the charts in 2016, and since then she’s released two albums under the Amy Shark name and has gone on to collaborate with the likes of Ed Sheeran and Keith Urban.

She’s also collaborated with Blink-182 drummer and new husband of Kourtney Kardashian, Travis Barker, as well as Blink-182’s lead singer, Mark Hoppus, which was a dream come true for Amy, who has been a massive fan of the band for most of her life.
