Alex Fevola reveals what happened when she confronted Lara Bingle over alleged affair with her husband Brendan

Alex Fevola has revealed what really happened when she confronted Lara Worthington (nee Bingle) over her affair with her husband Brendan Fevola.

The mother-of-four and Brendan first married in 2005, but ended their on-and-off nine-year marriage in 2014, following allegations he had an affair with Lara.

However, the couple rekindled their relationship in 2016, announcing their engagement that same year and haven’t looked back since.

In her new book Silver Linings, Alex talked candidly about the affair that rocked her marriage, saying she had a gut feeling something was going on between the “young blonde model” and her husband.

Brendan, who was 26 at the time and playing professional AFL, and Lara, then a 19-year-old model, reportedly met on The Footy Show and allegedly hung out in Melbourne a few times.

“I felt a twinge of doubt… It was at that moment my heart sank. I felt sick. I felt insane even saying it but I knew it was true. I don’t know how I knew I just did,” she penned.

“One of the reasons I felt this was because I knew Brendan very well and he’d mentioned every other person that was featuring on [The Footy Show], but he had never mentioned her. I knew exactly why.”

“It all made sense; the underlying self-doubt I’d been feeling, the distance. In a split-second the dread set in, that horrible gut-wrenching feeling knowing my life was about to become very complicated.”

After finding a voicemail from Lara on Brendan’s phone, Alex then confronted the model.

“I said: ‘It’s Alex Fevola, Brendan’s wife. Why are you doing this?’ She was silent. I asked again: ‘How could you do this? You know he’s married and we’ve just had a baby’. There was a pause and then she hung up,” she wrote.

“That was it. I never called back; I had all the confirmation I needed.”

The first time around, the couple tied the knot at St John’s Church in the south-eastern Melbourne suburb of Toorak. Brendan was 24 when he became a step-father to Alex’s daughter Mia, then five.

In 2016, Brendan announced he had proposed to Alex (for a second time).

“I was a bit nervous, I didn’t think she’d say yes, but it was really beautiful with the kids there. They were all going: Hawaii, Hawaii, Hawaii.”

“I’ve got an ex wife who’s now my fiancée, how confusing. She’s an amazing woman… she has an amazing story, just amazing.”

Brendan and Alex are happily married and share four kids together; Mia, 22, Leni, 15, Lulu, 11, and baby Tobi, three.

Lara is now married to actor Sam Worthington, and the pair share three sons; Rocket, Racer and River.
