TMZ claim thieves raided the Ironic singer’s house, taking over $USD2 million dollars worth of her jewellery.

While a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department did not name Alanis, they did confirm, “suspects made off with a safe containing approximately $2 million worth of jewelry and other items or property.”

According to the report, the incident occurred when no one was home last Thursday, with no further detail on the extent of the crime.

The 42-year-old lives with her husband Mario Souleye Treadway and their two children, Ever Imre Morissette-Treadway and Onyx Solace Morissette-Treadway, in what is described as a “secure area.”

The mum-of-two hasn’t spoken out about the crime, she did take to Twitter on Sunday, sharing a cryptic message.

Deciding to focus on the positive, she penned alongside a photo of footprints in the sand, “Sometimes, in sweet artistic forms, it is nice to know you are surrounded by so much goodness.”

Shockingly, this isn’t the first time Alanis has been robbed.

Last month her former manager Jonathan Todd Schwartz, confessed to stealing more than $5 million from her between May 2010 and January 2014, and falsely listing the criminal withdrawals as “sundry/personal expenses.”

Jonathan has since been charged with wire fraud and filing a false tax return for failing to report the embezzled funds.
